Storm’s chef is amazing – I come here once a week to see my friends and eat some authentic Jamaican food. I love it!
Since S.T.O.R.M was established in 2004, we have been committed to helping women who need support. As we’ve grown we have extended our reach to help
all members of our community, addressing social issues such as poverty, long-term unemployment, and youth crime.
Providing fresh homemade food at reasonable prices, our community bistro is open Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm (excluding Wednesdays). This is an ideal chance to meet friends and make new ones.
Every Wednesday between 12pm and 3pm, our bistro runs the 60+ luncheon, offering a two course meal for individuals aged 60 and above. During this, members of our team and volunteers from our youth group run IT workshops helping all members of our community to enjoy the benefits of computers and the internet.
With the support of the Variety at Work charity, S.T.O.R.M is able to provide community day trips throughout the year. In the past these have included outings to local beaches (such as Brighton and Littlehampton), London Aquarium and Science Museum visits as well as trips to watch pantomimes during the festive period. These are always very popular – please contact us (link to contact page) to check what events are coming up!
The younger people who help out with our lunch are really great and have taught me so many things on how to use my computer!
S.T.O.R.M’s nursery is OFSTED registered for children aged 0-5 years old. The nursery offers a place for your child to enjoy a wide range of activities whilst you take part in one of S.T.O.R.M’s numerous available programmes.
The nursery is run by a fully qualified team and opens during term time. Currently under the Government’s legislation, every 3 and 4 year old in England is entitled to 570 hours of free early education and childcare (an average of 15 hours per week for the 38 weeks that the nursery is open).
The nursery is situated at our old building 253 Battersea Park Road (behind Tesco), London, SW11 4LF (telephone: 0207 720 7437). Please contact us to enrol your child.
