What we do
Since opening our doors in 2004, S.T.O.R.M has helped a large number of women from many walks of life. S.T.O.R.M remains committed to addressing the daily struggles of women who are trapped by poverty, domestic violence, and sustained unemployment. S.T.O.R.M’s programmes help women earn practical skills, gain newfound confidence and fulfil their potential.
We help teenagers and young adults to stay away from violence, by providing a safe comfortable place away from the stresses of everyday life. Storm provides a place in the community to help with employment and qualifications, a place to play games with friends and mix music in our studio, go on day trips or just have a hot meal and a chat with a member of staff.
Since S.T.O.R.M was established in 2004, we have been committed to helping women who need support. As we’ve grown we have extended our reach to help all members of our community, addressing social issues such as poverty, long-term unemployment, and youth crime. We offer a place of focus for everyone and all. Pop down and see what we’re all about.
S.T.O.R.M provides support for people at every point in the employment process. We offer hands on training programmes and qualification courses, as well as our weekly job shop where we run through CVs and career goals. We have a series of partners in the local community we work with to give our members a step up the career ladder. Check out our employment section for more info
